The Junction Boys

This sports history recalls ten days in 1954 when Coach Paul Bear Bryant took his Texas A&M football team to the town of Junction, Texas, where he put them through a most grueling football boot camp--out of which 35 players emerged as a coherent team. Many players--including Gene Stallings, whose stories helped inspire this book--speak of the experience as the most formative in their careers.
